Undermount Journal collects no personal information from readers. That is a description of how the site is built rather than a policy commitment, and the sections below explain what it means in practice.

Nothing Is Measured

The pages carry no analytics, no tag manager and no advertising pixel. Readership is simply unknown here, which is unusual on the modern web and entirely deliberate.

Changes to This Page

This page is maintained alongside the site itself. Should a feature ever be added that handles data differently, this text is revised at the same time.

External Links

Where a page links elsewhere, the destination is beyond this site's control. Once a reader follows one of those links they are on a site with its own practices, and nothing described here applies to it.

How Pages Are Delivered

Pages are served by a commercial hosting provider. Like any web host it processes the technical request data needed to deliver a page, including the requesting address, and retains it briefly for security and operational purposes. That processing sits with the host and is common to essentially all web hosting.

No Forms or Accounts

There is no form, no comment box, no newsletter signup and no account. There is no mechanism through which a reader could submit personal information even deliberately.

No Cookies

Browser storage is not used at all, cookies included. There is no state kept between one visit and the next.
